Welcome to good eats, this is a page to share recipes and talk hippie treats/eats. Let
me start off by explaining a bit about myself and why I eat the way I do. I have struggled with severe digestive issues since I was about 14. I don’t know how or why it happened, but I started to get sick all the time.

brooke-lark-261287 I was in severe pain and would often have to miss classes, social events, and sports etc. because of this illness. I’ve been to every doctor, specialist, had every test and have got nothing back but the ever so frustrating diagnosis of IBS. I used to be embarrassed to tell people about this, but it seems today that it is EXTREMELY common.

I’ve tried every diet (gluten free, dairy free etc.) to help and hadn’t seen much change. Recently I went to see a nutritionist who gave me an intolerance test, and with someone who has as many problems as I do, I was weirdly excited to see the results, to get real answers…and I did!

Although nothing showed up as a severe allergy, I was intolerant to SO many things I had no idea about: garlic, parmesan, strawberries, bananas, tuna, salmon, thyme, wheat, dairy (cow’s milk and cheese), eggs, rice, almonds, peanuts, turkey, asparagus, peppers, malt vinegar…and I think that’s it lol. CRAZY I know, but so far this had led me to experiment with some pretty strange healthy food combos.

SO long story short, This page will be for me to share some yummy REAL foods (not all with my specific diet restrictions). And If anyone has their own recipes or variations I’d love to hear and share them, especially in my situation where it seems foods are so limited, I really have to get creative. What are some of your favourite recipes and healthy food choices?
